Cuando Volvimos a La Tierra came together thanks to the McDonald’s Spotlight Dorado Grant. The purpose of this film was to take a mirror to the space race and juxapose an issue that faces our community. What can these tech billioniare’s spend on vs. what should they be doing. This film contrasts the rich and the poor, American Culture vs. Latino, and is a message to these people to hold them accountable to fixing the problems here on Earth first before trying to go somewhere else. This film was included in the 2024 SXSW program and was also nominated for ‘Best Short’ at the 39th Annual Imagen Awards.
