Dosh (fault)
Dosh was Gabriel’s thesis film while attending the American Film Institute (AFI). This film is based on the true events of the director’s previous marriage and how her husband developed Late-Onset Bi-polar disorder. The filmmakers wanted to make this film in order to call attention to mental health in their communities and begin the conversation. Hense the title, Dosh. In Hindi this means fault. In the story, it is no one’s fault that the events occurred, but without addressing/ acknowledging the issue, then it does become everyone’s fault.
This film has had a spectacular festival run.
